Storing Coffee

Always use fresh beans – so buy little and buy often and ideally grinding only the amount you need. 7 grams per cup (about 2 tablespoons) is recommended. If stored correctly (in an airtight container in a cool dark and dry place like the pantry), your whole beans will stay fresher for longer. Optimum storage time is 3 – 14 days, but your coffee will last for about 4 weeks before you start to notice staleness.

NEVER keep your coffee in the fridge or freezer – this dries your coffee out, and when brought out to room temperature a layer of condensation will appear on the surface of your beans and damage the oil flavours.
